Joseph had the opportunity to work on the Destiny 2 Limited and Collector’s Edition book, themed off of Emperor Callus from the Leviathan Raid. The original concept for the book was created by Garrett Morlan. Joseph was responsible for rendering and assembling the final print ready book; utilizing 3D ornaments sculpted by Aaron Cruz for the Leviathan Raid (original ornament concept’s by Dorje Bellbrook). Additionally Aaron Cruz sculpted the main crest featured on the front of the book, as well as the Raid Icons (excluding the Chalice and Amethyst gem) used on the Lenticular. All elements were either rendered in Keyshot or painted onto the book in Photoshop.

Destiny 2 Lenticular. Aaron Cruz sculpted the Raid Icons (original concept by Dorje Bellbrook), Joseph was responsible for the Amethyst gem, rendering and Chalice (same Chalice that Callus holds in the Leviathan raid),

Joseph had the opportunity to design and concept the Bungie employee anniversary gifts. This was a unique project to work on and visualize with the VizD and Licencing team at Bungie. The physical shield and coins were created working with Catalyst Marketing and manufactured in China. Art Direction and Creative Direction by: Garrett Morlan, Lorraine McLees and Jim McQuillan. The final anniversary coins were modeled by Tim Hernandez in Zbrush

Joseph had the opportunity to design the original artwork for the Destiny Raid Belts. He crafted the initial twelve vector designs, covering every Destiny Raid from Vault of Glass through Deep Stone Crypt. Afterward, this work was passed to the Creative Studios' visual designers for future designs.

In Destiny, raids are complex end-game activities that demand the cooperation of six-person fireteams to explore vast areas, solve puzzles, and defeat challenging bosses. These raids are considered pinnacle content and can take several hours, or even multiple attempts, to complete.

Through the Bungie Rewards program, Bungie has instituted a tradition where the first fireteam to complete every encounter and loot the final chest has their victory immortalized with World First raid belts.

The final seven belts were expertly manufactured by Wildcat Belts. Six were awarded to the world’s first players, and one was sent to Bungie for display.

To create these designs, Joseph utilized Adobe Illustrator to craft the original vector art and employed advanced layer styles in Adobe Photoshop to produce each gold belt render. Joseph integrated the primary raid icon (skull surrounded by chains and sword) created by Ryan Klaverweide and received art direction from Garrett Morlan.

Joseph had the opportunity early on at Bungie to create a Destiny themed employee Birthday card titled - “Once more around the sun”.

The card was printed by Leatherback printing in Kirkland, WA. Print Direction by Garrett Morlan and Lorraine McLees.
